Overlay Studio
Broadcast control — OBS Studio

Your overlays,
driven live.

A local server, a dashboard in your browser, and fourteen overlay modules that answer instantly. Live television forgives nothing: everything that matters is one click away.

Windows · free · no account needed

How it works

A local app to manage and display your overlays.

It runs on your machine. You drive it from the browser, OBS shows the result. No account, no cloud, nothing to install anywhere else.

01

It keeps going without the dashboard

The timer and overlay state live in the app, not in the tab. Close the browser and everything stays on air.

02

Several people, one show

Every machine sees the same state live. Two people can work at once without wiping each other’s edits.

03

One URL per overlay

Paste the address into an OBS browser source and it is wired. A single address is enough if you would rather stack them all at once.

Modules

14 modules

Each has its own settings, design, on-screen position and control commands. None of them is mandatory.

Lower Third

🖥️

Stage Return

The confidence screen for the crew on stage.

Ecosystem

3 connected tools for your streams.

Both satellites are optional: Overlay Studio works on its own.

🎛️The core

Overlay Studio

The server and the dashboard. Node and React, a Windows executable, self-contained profiles you can export and hand over.

🎚️Optional

Stream Deck plugin

Every module’s commands on physical keys, with real state coming back: a key lights up when its overlay is on air. Long press for resets.

🧩Optional

Chrome extension

Relays YouTube and Vimeo chat into the chat modules. Twitch is handled natively by the server, with nothing to install.

In detail

What you notice in use.

Self-contained profiles

Config, media and fonts in a single folder. Export it as a zip, hand it over, it runs elsewhere unchanged.

Project palette

Define a colour once, bind it in design fields. It changes everywhere at once.

Position and scale

Nine anchors or free placement, per module. The same setting applies to the standalone overlay and the composite.

Panic button

One command clears all fourteen modules at once, without flooding the Stream Deck with redraws.

Overlay error reporting

An overlay never shows its problem on air: it reports to the dashboard, which explains instead.

Pen tablet support

The whiteboard follows stylus pressure, with stroke smoothing and PNG export at overlay resolution.

Ready for air.
